Food to Go

Here's one for Scott on the food front. Have some pictures of the usual cafe food but decided to try one of the famous Argentine BBQ  meals. There comes a time when a true kiwi meat eater has to finish with the chips and bread rolls and look for a good beef steak. Well, talk about protein overload and Twisting Throttle will love this, not a vegie to be seen.. A dish was placed on our table with the meat still cooking on hot coals underneath the plate. My meal for ONE consistered of one thick slice of stuffed pork roll. Two beef  fillet steaks. One quarter chicken. One rib steak. Two kidney halves. One spicey sausage. One blood sausage  and half a metre of stuffed intestine. It was the bottle of beer that buggered up the attempt. I fell at the intestine and half a kidney, even left the rib steak behind. Given a month or two to practise I will be back for another attempt.

Sorry guys but not everyone's like Scott - he's just a carnivorous American with a roadkill fetish and we all know their attitude towards fine dining. On the other hand us kiwis are a little more gastronomically-discerning and I noted the wedge of lemon left on Annette's plate and what the hell is that yellow rolled up thing? Obviously you had a starter of bean sprouts, celery and hummus before the meat dish arrived. I am forwarding your blog link to that famous celebrity and vegetarian author T. Throttle who will be shocked with your culinary start to your trip.

Blue Leader,Tell T Throttle that that yellow thing was a peck of pickled peppers, and I challenge anybody to eat one. Annettes jaw dropped when she realised that when the menue said steak, that is what it ment. This is man country.

I needed all that red meat to keep up the dietary weight loss programme that Twisting Throttle promoted and proved in his new book.
